  • Glastonbury Abbey’s origins are shrouded in legend – Joseph of Arimathea brought his nephew the young Jesus Christ here. King Arthur and his Queen Guinevere were buried here. It was the largest, richest and most powerful Abbey in England before Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries in the 1530’s.
  • Wells Cathedral, widely regarded as one of the finest in the country. Built in the 13th century – just 10 minutes away.

  • Millions of starlings – known as a “murmuration” during the winter –¬† roost in the reed beds of a nearby nature reserve. One of nature’s great spectacles – quite breathtaking.
